Training during ST3-5 years takes place in all Trusts in the Deanery. ST3 trainees working at St Michaels Hospital and Southmead Hospital have resident cover from a senior SpR or ST6/7. All other posts are covered directly by a Consultant.
Training in all aspects of the Core Curriculum is available in all Trusts in the Deanery. Currently trainees rotate on an annual basis. The Work Based Assessments should reflect a level of complexity expected at that year of training. There are 20 Mandatory Log Book Courses which all trainees are expected to complete during training.
