Training during ST3-5 years takes place in all Trusts in the Deanery. ST3 trainees working at St Michaels Hospital and Southmead Hospital have resident cover from a senior SpR or ST6/7. All other posts are covered directly by a Consultant.

Training in all aspects of the Core Curriculum is available in all Trusts in the Deanery. Currently trainees rotate on an annual basis.

*  These should be obtained throughout the year not just in the weeks before ARCP.  The Work Based Assessments 
    should reflect a level of complexity expected at that year of training.
    There are 20 Mandatory Log Book Courses which all trainees are expected to complete during training.  Most can be
    completed at any time but some should be completed before the end of basic training. The recommended
    distribution of courses through each year of training is given in the chart.
